We are pleased to announce the upcoming lecture “A New Science is Born – Early Childhood Neuropedagogy“ with László Varga, PhD, from the University of Sopron, Benedek Elek Faculty of Pedagogy, Hungary. This event will take place on 16th May 2025, 10:30, in the Senate Conference Room, University of Madeira.
Recent scientific research on early brain and emotional development in young children highlights their importance for later development. The mystery of the human brain continues to pose a serious challenge to scientists and educators of children. Understanding how neuroscience can inform education strategies and discovering what teachers want and need to know about how children learn are two drivers behind the neuro-education initiative. The lecturer, founder of the International Research Group and the Early Childhood Neuropedagogy Laboratory at the Faculty of Pedagogy Benedek Elek in Sopron, Hungary, discusses the pedagogical implications of brain research and highlights the most important messages of neuroscience from a pedagogical point of view. The lecturer summarizes knowledge of the brain’s learning processes and offers suggestions how this knowledge can influence teaching and learning in the classroom. He modifies and supplements the content of the education of kindergarten teachers and early childhood educators, showing the innovativeness of early education and research facilities.
